Funny, haha?

Things my daughter thinks are hysterically funny lately:

  • Screaming BUTTS!!! at the top of her lungs. Or saying it over and over while in public. Butts! Butts! Butts! Knock knock! Who's there? BUTTS!!
  • Grabbing my knockers and shouting "Boobie boobie boobie!!" O_o
  • Jumping out and, instead of shouting "Boo!", she yells, "Fox News!" No, I shit you not. I have no idea where she got that one.

Two and a half is a very funny age. I only want to duct tape her mouth shut a couple times a day, that's all... ;)

Under the weather

Mini-me has a cold. She was not up to making her own posting. But I'm mom, aka The Maternal Unit.

Lorelei just has a little winter cold. Runny nose and off and on low-grade fever. Just enough to not sleep well, poor thing. I'm sure she'll feel better soon.

For the last 2 days she has told me over and I've that I am "the best!" mommy. Daddy is also the best daddy and grandma is definitely the best grandama. She's so sweet. The declaration of being the best is generally accompanied by a huge hug.

I am still being lazy about getting Christmas pics off my camera. So the pic there is a cute one from the Austin Ice Cream festival last summer, which is why she's so sweaty. It was in August! How cruel is that?

We were under the tent to see the Biscuit Brothers. Lorelei is the Biscuit Brothers' number 1 fan. She's seen them in concert half a dozen times in the last year or so. She's got a real appreciation of music building. She loves to sing along and DANCE! I'm so happy we live in an area where she can see live shows often.

Ok, mommy has to go. Hopefully Mini-Me will be back to normal soon.

Christmas.

I had a
great Christmas this year!

First, mom & dad took me to see Santa at the mall. I ran around like a crazy baby and wouldn't behave in line unless mom bribed me with cookies. I know how these things work.

My picture turned out good. I don't really enjoy following directions, so smiling when mom, dad and the photographer were all telling me to was not about to happen. But I didn't cry or flip the bird, so it was a success as far as I'm concerned.

On Christmas morning, I awoke to the best present ever.

I actually gasped when I saw it. I was SO, SO very happy. I'm a sweet girl, too, so I turned to my mama and said, "Thank you, mommy!!"

My mama doesn't trick me with stories about Santa actually being real. We know he's a symbol of the Christmas spirit.

Oh! And in my stocking was my very own baby! She is soft and light brown (like me!) and wears a cloth diaper. She's anatomically correct too, supposedly. Except no nipples. So that's weird.

I also got a ton of other stuff because my grandma and aunties like to spoil me with plastic toys that make noise. I think they may hate my mother, but I'm not sure...

We ate a lot of food and sweets and I threw a huge temper tantrum before nap time. Hey, I just wanted some pie, people. Auntie Eryn baked a badass apple cinnamon pie, you would have thrown a fit for it too.

Greetings

This is for my family and friends to find news, pictures, and other information about me.
